What is VoWiFi?
VoWiFi, or Voice over WiFi, is a technology that enables voice calls over the internet using WiFi networks.
It utilizes WiFi internet to make voice calls.
To use this technology, you need a smartphone that supports VoWiFi and a 4G-enabled SIM card (USIM).
Simply adjust your VoWiFi settings on your smartphone and check/activate the service on your number.
The service is free and does not affect call rates.
The service is available to postpaid billing system users with active Internet and VoLTE services.
If Internet and VoLTE services are disabled, VoWiFi will not be available.
The SIM card on the number must support 4G (uSIM, eSIM).
The smartphone must support VoWiFi, and VoWiFi must be enabled in its settings menu.
VoWiFi is not available on M2M tariffs: Business Terminal, Business Electronics, Business Tuner, Business Tracker, Business Bank, as well as on BeeOffice1, BeeOffice2 tariffs.
The technology is not available on numbers for which the Internet service is disabled.
VoLTE will not work if the services "Corporate VPN access", "Permanent IP address", "IP with restricted access" are activated.
Given the constant updates of device models released for different markets and with various software versions, we recommend contacting the device manufacturer.
It is also advisable to check for software updates on your phone and update it if necessary.
The Internet, VoLTE, and VoWiFi services must all be enabled simultaneously. If they are active, you will see them in the list of connected services.
Make sure VoWiFi is enabled in your phone settings.
You must be within range of an available WiFi network.
If the services are active on your number and your phone is properly configured, simply make a call to any number.
During the call, you will see a WiFi icon on the screen, and the VoWiFi indicator will appear at the top of the display.
There may be restrictions on VoWiFi functionality in UzTelecom networks.
VoWiFi is not available while roaming.
For numbers that have been ported from other mobile operators, the VoWiFi service is unavailable.
VoWiFi service is activated upon customer request.
Phone settings depend on the model. Below are the setup steps for the most popular smartphones.
The availability of VoWiFi and the setup process may vary depending on the device model.
Apple: Settings → Cellular → Wi-Fi Calling → Enable.
Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Wi-Fi Calling → Enable.
Samsung devices will receive VoWiFi support later with a new software update.
Xiaomi: Settings → SIM Cards & Mobile Networks → Wi-Fi Calling → Enable.
In the "Network Mode" section, select "Prefer Wi-Fi."
If the VoWiFi option is missing in Xiaomi settings, dial *#*#869434#*#* (after entering the code, the message "VoWiFi carrier check disabled" will appear).
HUAWEI: Settings → Mobile Network → Mobile Data → Wi-Fi Calling → Enable.
